MICHAEL NOAH™
GRADE 1 · SDA FULL YEAR
40 WEEKS · 4 TERMS · BIBLE + CAPS + SERVICE

Grade 1.
Adventist all year.

Not a Bible tab bolted onto school. Each week connects Scripture, Grade 1 language, maths, Life Skills, health, service, Sabbath preparation and a real piece of evidence.

📖 Bible

Use your family's Bible translation or an age-appropriate retelling. MN provides references, not copied Encounter lessons.

🎯 Adventist alignment

These public NAD standard codes are a denominational reference, not South African curriculum authority.

🇿🇦 CAPS connections

    FIVE-DAY FAITH & LIFE ARC

Suggested Bible/faith block: 30–45 minutes daily. Shorten it when the learner needs shorter blocks; the core academic day continues through MN Grade 1.

    BUILD + PROVE

    Evidence to keep

    Friday → Sabbath preparation

A family may adapt this to local church practice, disability, travel, work realities and actual sunset information.

    TERM REVIEW

Know it. Explain it. Live it.

At the end of each term, use the original MN knowledge check and portfolio task. The check never grades prayer, conversion, conscience or closeness to God.

    ACADEMIC TRUTH BOUNDARY

The Adventist year is complete. The underlying Grade 1 academic beta remains honest.

The SDA faith-and-life layer covers 40 school weeks. It sits on MN’s existing Grade 1 academic route: Mathematics has exact ATP week-block objects; Life Skills core has exact objects; English Term 1 is exact while later-term English still uses source-backed teaching bands during source-catalogue reconciliation. Do not market this as proof that every Grade 1 CAPS source cell is fully materialised.

    PARENT BOUNDARIES

    No spiritual score

Assess Bible knowledge, reading, reasoning, work and service participation. Do not score whether the child believes enough or prays correctly.

    No fear curriculum

End-times, death and conflict are taught calmly and age-appropriately. No dates, graphic imagery or frightening speculation.

    Safety outranks a lesson

Children are never required to reconcile with unsafe people, disclose grief, donate money, contact unfamiliar adults or publish beneficiaries' stories.
