Term 1 uses the same English, exact Maths, Life Skills core, Creative Arts and PE learning route.
OPEN TERM 1 →A family-selected Catholic Grade 1 year: Scripture, prayer, Mass awareness, sacraments, saints, service and church-year stories wrapped around concrete Grade 1 language, maths and Life Skills.
Use the same Michael Noah 18-item readiness snapshot and tracked 8-week / 40-day bridge for language, number sense, school habits and movement. Sacramental status, prayer knowledge or parish participation must never become a Grade 1 admission, readiness or academic-success criterion.
Term 1 uses the same English, exact Maths, Life Skills core, Creative Arts and PE learning route.
OPEN TERM 1 →436/436 registered Grade 1 coordinates have learner-facing activities. Exact/source-materialised status remains 218/436; the other 218 are original MN mapped objects pending exact-source verification.
OPEN YEAR →Academic term checks use fresh Maths, English, Life Skills, Creative Arts and PE tasks. Faith knowledge stays in the separate Catholic review.
ACADEMIC TERM CHECK →Readiness, bridge days, academic evidence, term checks and Catholic faith receipts meet in the same Grade 1 Parent Desk.
PARENT DESK →Use your family's lawful Catholic Bible or an age-appropriate retelling. MN supplies references and original prompts, not copied catechetical programmes.
Catholic theology is labelled as theology. Science, history and maths keep their own evidence standards.
Suggested faith block: about 20–35 minutes daily. Shorten it when needed; the core Grade 1 academic day continues through MN.
Mass, feast days and sacramental preparation follow the family's parish and verified Catholic calendar; MN does not guess local observance.
Catholic mode is an opt-in faith layer on the same Grade 1 academic engine. It never replaces or lowers the academic evidence standard.
The original MN knowledge check assesses vocabulary, Bible/religion knowledge and safe application. It never grades prayer, conversion, conscience, sacramental status, baptism intention or closeness to God.
OPEN TERM REVIEW →The faith layer covers 40 school weeks. The shared academic engine has learner-facing coverage across all 436 registered Grade 1 coordinates, while exact/source-materialised status remains 218/436. The remaining 218 use original MN mapped learning objects pending exact DBE-source verification. Do not market this as whole-grade CAPS-exact, independently moderated, or official Catholic denominational curriculum.
Assess knowledge, reading, reasoning, work and service participation. Do not score whether the child believes enough, prays correctly or is ready for a religious commitment.
Death, conflict, judgement and end-times themes stay calm and age-appropriate. No graphic imagery, frightening speculation or coercion.
Children are never required to contact unfamiliar adults, disclose grief, donate money, reconcile with unsafe people or publish another person's story.
